He taught me how to load the gun, shoot on target, and get “The Bad Guy”!! I loved it!! Definite stress reliever!!

After blowing the place up like Annie Oakely,  Enid and I worked out and blew off some more steam.  Nothin like girl time!! We then popped in “Princess and the Frog”.  What a great story!! I went to sleep thinking I wish all love stories were like Disney Fairy Tales….

When I awoke this morning, I checked my Facebook (because that’s the first thing I do every morning) and low and behold…My aunt posted that it was my grandparent’s 65th wedding anniversary!!  She was 17yrs old and he was 21yrs old when they met….and they’ve lived happily ever after.  My parents will celebrate thier 37th anniversary in November and my brother and sister in law will celebrate their 11th….Yeah, they’ve all had their up’s and down’s….but they survived them because we were taught unconditional love.  The best thing about all 3 couples is that they all know how to laugh, love, and cry together.  Those are the things that keep love strong and alive! ;)

Raised phenomenal donations  for CAP (Citizens for Animal Protection) which was amazing! The Master of Ceremonies was none other but Mr. Extraordinaire Edward Sanchez. We had lots of great sponsors such as Momentum Mini Cooper, Premier Mobile Tanning, Dr. Nikko, Sprinkles cupcakes, Elemental Media Group, a beautiful cake from Frosted, and Sophisticated Bitch fashion.  Everyone was overwhelmed by the “Summer Social Butterfly” drink that was the specialty drink from Sugarcane.  Their drinks are mostly organic and are definitely heaven and happiness!! We received cameo’s from Erica Rose (formerly on VH1′s “You’re Cut Off), also Ashley Christine Parivar who was formerly Miss Texas United States who is simply the sweetest thing ever, Titus from Titius Fashion, Mr. Jeff Taplin from King Dick and Sophisticated Bitch Fashion, Chris Manriquez from Manriquez auto collision, and Guy Mahaffey from Sudden Impact  stopped by for a while amongst some other great and fabulous guests including some of my best friends and family!! We all sang happy birthday to the beautiful Enid Sanchez when the night was ending….her cake from Frosted was AMAZING! I am blessed by so many friends and family who came out to support the launching of my website which has come a long way from when I first started it.  Mr. Make it Happen truly has made it happened and I am most grateful!! Keep smiling Houston! We have more to come and a whole lot of things in the works…Butterfly kisses!!

Saturday was Wendy’s Wig Party @ The Manor.  It was a BLAST!! My brother and sis n law and thier friends ended up meeting up with us.  My brother put on my wig and was a hoot!! Everyone was crackin up!! He’s so silly!! Guess it runs in the family!! ;)

Friday went to see La Diabla @ House of Blues, great show despite the 100 degree temp.  it seriously felt like hell in there!! After the show we went to The Manor where the music is always good and the place is so much fun!! Saturday I spent the day @ the pool w/ my nieces and nephew and bro and sis n law…Saturday night went to Eight and Nox……..Good times!! Sunday my roomie and I took the metro rail to the Pavillion and had brunch @ Guadalajara…it was GREAT!! Dinner @ Cyclones and then a corona @ Open City….Overall the weekend was quite eventful!!

My sister n law dropped off my nieces at school and then we headed to the doctors office with mom.  My 4 year old nephew, Jovan is so loving and caring and held my mom’s hand throughout her visit.  Those kids truly love my mom with all their little hearts.  The doctor had good news! The cells were not cancerous! Thank God! She still wants to get a second opinion, but I am confident in knowing she is going to be okay.  The doctor said she is going to be around for a loooooooong time! That’s such good news.  Especially after mom telling me last night that she is going to start writing her will soon.  I understand she wants to be prepared, but still it’s a scarry thought.  I am very glad that she has my sister in law around.  Teresa is a great sister, mom, wife, daughter.  I am so glad that we have gotten close.  It’s amazing how life takes you through loopholes….but that’s life! Anywhoo….that’s the latest and greatest! Again, thank you all for your blessings and prayers.  If you know me, you know that I am a firm believer in the power of prayer and positive thinking! Amen! ;)

I ran into a couple of friends out there….the crowd ranged from 50+ people to 21 year olds…also from hipsters to flip floppers…all sorts…We had a great time.
