Marsha, Marsha, Marsha….

So, I’m laying in my bed and watching Good Morning America or one of those morning news shows that I hardly ever watch….but I’ve decided to try this new thing and actually “watch the news.” I usually don’t like to watch the news because all of the violence depresses me, then they headline something like “snooki in court”…so I’m a little indifferent to it, but I’ve decided to give it a try…So, back to me laying here and watching “Good Morning America,” they just had Peter, Bobby, and Cindy Brady as their guests. They went over some of the old shows and the one that always stuck in my head was the episode where Marsha Brady gets hit in the face with the football…You remember that one? It was a traumatic one for me because from watching that show, I never ever ever wanted to play any sports for fear of getting a “Marsha nose” ….that’s one of those episodes you never forget!!

Weekend happenings….

My weekend was relaxing once again…Friday went to Straits at Houston City Center w/ Mr. Make it Happen, Kitty Kat, Edward Sanchez, and Mr Fox….the ambiance was wonderful! I felt like I was on vacation, of course anything outside of the loop is vacation. LOL!! Grupo Cache played in front of Ruggles on The Green and we enjoyed a cabana at Straits while we listened to the music, had delictable adult libations and entertained ourselves w/ great conversation.

Saturday I tailgated all day with my brother and his friends. It was a great event because it was the Texans against Cowboys, and of course the Texans won! Made it even better. When I got home, I was planning on going to my besties bday and to hang out w/ Mr. Class Act at Nox, but when I got into my car I noticed that my work laptop and gps had been stolen…so my night was pretty much ruined. I waited for the officers to show up (which they were hott) and by the time they were done, it was too late to head out and my mood was blah…

Sunday, I woke up early and headed to Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral w/ Ms. Sanchez…it was nice and refreshing. After, we went picked up her brother, Mr. Extraordinare Edward Sanchez and headed to the Theater Open House. Started out at Wortham Theater then Jones Hall, and ended up at The Alley Theater where we heard a beautiful performance by The Houston Symphony. When we were finished w/ the tour we headed to the One Year Anniversary of RDG (Cafe Annie). It was nice to catch up with people I hadn’t seen in a long time. The drinks were fabulous and so was the crowd!

Had an Eat, Pray, Love weekend!

Alright…alright…so you’re wondering what did the little Houston Social Butterfly do this weekend?? Well, I started my Friday night off w/ a “girls night out”…we started at Collina’s for dinner where you can bring your own bottle…this is one of our fav. spots because we each bring a bottle of wine and catch up on each other. It was also part 2 of one of my friend’s bdays. After dinner we went to see “Eat, Love, Pray.” It was BRILLIANT!! It was one of the first instances where I actually believe the movie was better than the book. Julia Roberts does an excellent job and you already know any movie w/ Javier Bardem is going to be stellar! He’s so dreamy!! Here are a couple of my favorite quotes from the movie:

Saturday was “family day”. My cousin moved here from San Diego last week, so my parents hosted a family get together…My dad made the best talapia! It was delish!! We partied outside on the patio and laughed and sang and got craaaazy. LOL!!

Sunday Funday started out poolside from noon till 6pm. The usual suspects were in attendance! We had a blast and it was very relaxxing…Neighbor and I left to see Rob Schneider at Improv. He was freakin hilarious!! FILARIOUS!! He’s actually cuter in person. Made references to how hott Houston is and how he felt like he was in soup the minute he got off the plane. Very humble and nice guy! After the show we did a little cameo at Sanctuary and then Nox both places were very packed w/ lots of talent!! Good times!!

I met the girls up to see this movie. It was a classic girl meets boy love story…Sooooo cute! Gives me hope that true love does exist….not that I ever lost hope…just sayin! Definite Must See!!! I’m really bad about giving the whole story up, so look it up…lol! Favorite quote: “Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss….” He turned to me. “But every once in a while, you find someone who’s iridescent, and when you do, nothing will ever compare.”
